The sewing circle ministry consists of a group of Christian ladies and gentlemen that sew quilts and comfort hats for Children's Hospital and the Cancer Center of Children's Hospital. This provides the children with a tangible, personal, and loving atmosphere away from home. The warm and bright colored quilts and hats bring comfort to the patients and their families during a difficult time.
Additionally, this ministry reaches out in several different ways in our community by donating to the children at Saul's Homeless Shelter and Children's Services of Clermont County for the children going to foster care.
We also donate quilts and blankets to A Caring Place Pregnancy Help Center.
Blankets are also donated to the nursery coordinator of Clough Pike Baptist Church, to be given to the new babies born each year into our church.
In 2003 we started reaching out to our members in rehab with a quilt and to our nursing home patients. In addition, we also sew for different children's groups in our church for special programs and provide various items such as valances and cushion coverings.
This is the 41st year that Clough Pike Baptist Church has had a sewing circle reaching out to Children's Hospital and our community.
We give all the glory to God for this ministry and all the ways it reaches out. Without this help we could do nothing.
New members are always welcome. Please contact the church office if you are interested in participating in the sewing circle.
