At your service, Lord
Are you more interested in being served in a church, or are you more interested in being a servant in the church? There are far too many church members in the church who just stay out of the way. A recent poll by George Gallup discovered that only 10% of church members are active in any kind of personal ministry in their church. What is even more amazing is that 50% of all church members said they have no interest in serving in any ministry of the church.
Well, here at Clough Pike we believe that every member is a minister, and every member should be involved in ministry. You weren’t put here just to take up space, consume and get a free ride through life. You were put here to serve God and the way you serve God is by serving other people. Now, some people want to serve God; they just don’t want to serve others. But you can’t do that. The only way you can serve God is by serving others. You serve God by serving others. Join us this Sunday as we find out how to be “at His service.” I hope to see you there! |
